Here at my new role-playing game page I’ll be making a portfolio of all the games related art I produce in an effort to break into working in the games industry in some capacity. This illustration of an amphibious fantasy creature is the sort of thing you’ll be able to find on the new role-playing games art page. It is on the page right now, but might be replaced as I keep improving my portfolio, ruthlessly pruning out the weaker art in favor of the more perfect in a Darwinian quest for the best role-playing game illustration portfolio on the web – or at leas that’s the intention.
This will be a generic selection of role-playing game art including fantasy, science fiction and, if I can drum up the courage, perhaps some horror art in the future.
As well as weeding out art, I’ll be improving images. This is what “The Dragons Come to Town” looks like now, but it is in line for improvement and development, more detail in the sky, more shading in the foreground etc. I’ll keep the blog updated about the changes I make to this little fantasy role-playing game gem. Of course I’ll also be keeping the blog updated about the results of my efforts to break into game art illustration, whatever they may be. The role-playing game industry, both table top and computer flavors, is something I’ve been interested in for a long time and it would be great if it transformed from a hobby to a profession.![]()
