The Craver is a science-fiction space monster for use in role-playing games like Traveller.
This creature has that age old classic motivation for hunting humans, it just likes the taste! Although ugly and scary looking this humanoid monster id no stronger or weaker than an ordinary human. It can have a character class, psionics and equipment just as a human can. Their equipment is more organic based than human mechanical equipment, but no less powerful for that.
The real fearsomeness of this monster is not to do with maxed out RPG stats, levels or equipment; it is that these creatures are addicted to the taste of that delicious human flesh, especially the gall bladder, and once they have encountered a human spaceship they will not stop the chase until they have their prizes. The human equipment and spaceship itself is less interesting to them, being incompatible with their organic technology and is often left to drift deserted between the stars of the RPG universe.
