Children's story book illustrations are a discipline that requires perhaps the most creativity of the artist. There are quite literally no limits in this branch
of illustration and it attracts some of the most talented artists.
Children's story book illustrations need to be narrative, colourful, moody, fun, frightening and many other things too by turns. Children's picture book
illustration is also one of the most competitive areas of a very competitive genre. A visit to any book fair is enough to realise that there are talented
young illustrators everywhere, wandering round with their images under their arms. This competition is a very good thing however, constantly raising
the standard across the whole children's picture book illustration sector.
I have been creating the sort of images which can be used in children's books since I was a child myself and this website is a collection of my best
