This is Fishsticks
Fishsticks is a Moonbug. The Moonbugs is a comic strip which I have been working on for quite some time. I had not been updating the Moonbugs
comic strip but the recent American presidential election reawakened the desire to produce comic strips illustrating my perspective on the spectacle.
Fishsticks is good for this because politics is by its very nature fishy and so this little guy lends himself very well to illustrating political tricks in a
comic strip. The specific incident that energised me to produce this illustration was the Joe the Plumber incident, one of McCain's last ditch attempts
to rescue his campaign in its dying days.
The whole incident seemed fishy to me and I wanted to produce an illustration which .. erm .. illustrated this. I have more plans for the cute purple
fish in this illustration and he should be appearing in a comic strip again quite soon.
