Moon Rover Illustration
This illustration shows a science fiction vehicle crossing the terrain of a frozen moon orbiting a gas giant. The illustration shows detail in the
design of the science fiction vehicle and is intended as an illustration for a short story or role-playing game. As an illustrator I very much enjoy
creating “realistic” images to illustrate science fiction and other speculative and imaginative work. This image is influenced by many different
things including the artist impressions of far away planets often shown on “The Sky at Night” and the speculative art produced by Ralph
Mcquarrie for various projects including Star Wars and 2001.
I have produced a lot of drawings and colour illustrations such as this one illustrating imaginary worlds from the future and in this way I have
spent a lot of time in these imaginary worlds. I have produced science fiction illustrations of spaceships, robots, monsters and the heroic
characters that inhabit the same far away worlds and will be adding the latest images to this website as soon as each new one is completed.
This image was produced primarily with Photoshop and is built up using vector graphics. These sharp edged vector graphics are perfect for
the sharp edged ice in the foreground of the illustration.
