Sleepless in Batville
This animation is quick and fun and it's about what happens when you're wide awake and your friends are asleep. It was created using a bunch of
different programs, but primarily Photoshop. Of all the software on my hard disk right now Photoshop is the best for creating nice sharp vectors, and
then turning them into animations.
One problem I came up against as I was putting the elements of this animation together is that the animation files that Photoshop produced were
simply huge. I had to chop the animation into about thirty segments, each of only a few seconds, just so that my poor old computer could deal with
all the image data flowing about in its innards.
It was worth all the effort though because I think this funny little cartoon has captured those bored moments when you are awake and all of your
friends are asleep, and the increasingly silly things you do to wake them up.
This really nice little animation widget is provided free of charge by the people at Deviant Art, it's a lot harder to become a member of Deviant with
authorisation to post film, rather than the usual images, for perhaps obvious reasons, but the conditions and quality are so much better than the
likes of YouTube.
