Deep Space Patrol Spaceship
This science fiction illustration is produced using both Photoshop and trueSpace. The basic shape of the spaceship is produced and given a
couple of base colours with trueSpace which is a free 3D graphics application made available by Microsoft. This basic 3D image was then imported
into Photoshop to have detail added. The hull plates and airlocks in this science fiction spaceship illustration were all added with Photoshop.
The sharp edged realistic image produced is intended for use in science fiction stories and role-playing games with a science fiction background.
It is a far future design with very little in common with the spaceships in use today and is intended as an image to illustrate the spacelanes of the
very far future.
The beams of light projecting from the front of the spaceship in the image give the spacecraft a slightly sinister element. It is not a passenger
spaceship for use in the safe areas of the fantasy science fiction universe of a story or role-playing game but rather a spaceship which can take
care of itself in the more deserted and dangerous areas of space to be found in amazing stories of the far future.
The illustration is a small exploration spaceship or possibly the kind of spacecraft pressed into service for planetary defence on the frontier worlds
of a fantasy science fiction universe.
